Park Renovation Memorial Park commemorates Polk County's men and women whom have served or are currently serving with the U.S. armed forces, in law enforcement, as firefighters, and with emergency medical services. Memorial Park currently highlights the sacrifices made by those who serve us in the form of individual monuments. A unifying thread throughout the park is missing, preventing the park from achieving its vision. A fundraising effort is underway to design a master plan for the park, uniting the various monuments throughout the site while facilitating development of future memorials within its boundaries. This is a unique effort to recognize those in our community willing to protect our country, its citizens, and their property. These "First Responders" frequently face grave danger in the performance of their duties and Memorial Park will serve as a fitting site for recognizing their commitment and sacrifices.
Park borders W. Lime Street to the South, Lake Beulah Drive to the West, and W. Lemon Street to the North.Contact Polk County Veterans Council @ 863.602.0921 for additional information.
Plans will be uploaded as soon as they are available in a web format.
